Burnt Virgin Forest

Complex ecological systems with rich flora and fauna are being destroyed for the development of soy monocultures. Additional negative effects include, among others, the release of carbon dioxide (CO2) and the change of the microclimate due to the absence of the forest as a moisture reserve and a climate regulator. An increase in the occurrence of drought in the region can already be observed.
