Herbicide application in soy cultivation

Since the beginning of the soy-boom in the 70s the destruction of the virgin forest for the development of fields has continued at a particularly fast pace. Today gene-modified soy is almost exclusively planted for export purposes. In Europe, soy is largely utilized as cheap feed for the production of meat and milk products.
